Field Study Washington Island

My next adventure is Washington Island in June. I head back to the Frye cottage for a week of nothing but art! I'll start early in the morning with my artist friends and then go off on my own during the day for adventure in landscapes to be discovered. We will meet up again in the evening for great food and enlightening stories.

I really enjoy these working vacations. It is a time when I allow myself to slow down and really appreciate what this planet has to offer. There is symmetry, even in the overgrown scrub tree line... an order that is peaceful and calming. A time when all five of my senses get filled.

Again this year, I will be looking for sponsorship support. You may select a field study from Washington Island trip or from my 2-week residency at Acadia National Park in Maine from September 1 thru the 11th.

The field study pieces are framed and ready to hang. The finished size is 10.5” x 20.5.”

Washington Island pieces will be framed and ready to pick up at The Old Town Art Center on September 12, from 2 to 5 pm. Maine field study pieces will be present for viewing and choosing, some may still be wet, since I will be returning from this residency on September 11.
