I've never been so far off the beaten track!
On my way to deliver art to the Timmel Gallery in Saugatuck, Michigan, I took the skyway which turns into the Indiana Tollway, which is I-80/94. It was a familiar route, like going home. I missed the 94 turnoff! I was so engrossed in watching the landscape, the stark trees of winter were changing with buds, giving them a softer textural look. The grasses were starting to change their winter coat also. It was then I realized that I wasn't seeing the wooded landscape of the the Lake Michigan coast.
I was not supposed to be traveling south! All this visual stimulation took me about 45 minutes out of my way to the intended destination up north on Lake Michigan.
I finally made it.
There are new pieces now at the Timmel Gallery www.thetimmelcollection.com
If you are traveling north to Door County this summer, new work is also at Fine Line Design Gallery. www.finelinedesignsgallery.com |
